Don't Let Your "Toys" Be the One Thing You Forgot to Insure This Fall
If you live anywhere near Canyon Lake, the Guadalupe, or the New Braunfels city limits, you know October doesn't slow things down - it just changes the gear. The boat comes off the lake for one last run before it's winterized. The RV gets dusted off for a weekend at the state park. The ATV comes out of storage for hunting lease season.

Here's the problem: most people assume their regular auto or homeowners policy has them covered. It usually doesn't - not fully, and sometimes not at all.
Your auto policy stops at your car. It typically won't extend to a travel trailer being towed, a boat on a trailer, or an ATV you haul out to the ranch.
Your homeowners policy has limits, too. It might cover an RV or a four-wheeler sitting in your driveway against theft or fire, but it usually won't touch a collision, a breakdown two hundred miles from home, or an accident involving someone else's property.
That gap is exactly what RV and "toy" insurance is built to close.
What's actually covered
Through Allstate and National General, an Allstate company, coverage can be built around whatever you're hauling or driving:
Motorhomes (Class A, B, C) - your home on wheels, covered inside and out
Travel trailers, fifth-wheels, pop-ups, and toy haulers - including the option to add coverage for hitch assemblies and personal belongings stored inside
Boats and personal watercraft - liability if you damage someone else's dock or boat, plus coverage for your own hull and equipment
ATVs and motorcycles - for the trail, the ranch, or the road
Extras that matter out here - emergency expense coverage if you break down away from home, and even coverage for injuries to pets riding along
The three mistakes we see most
Assuming "stored" means "covered." A policy that protects a parked RV doesn't automatically protect it in motion, or while it's parked at a campsite two counties away.
Skipping full-timer or vacation liability. If you ever live in the RV for extended stretches or let guests use it, standard liability limits usually aren't enough.
Never bundling. Multi-policy discounts exist for a reason — bundling your toys with your existing auto and home coverage is often the easiest savings you'll find all year.

The bottom line
None of this has to be complicated. A five-minute conversation with a licensed agent can tell you exactly where you stand - and where you're exposed - before that next lake trip or hunting weekend.
